Terms and Conditions
Last Updated: June 2026
Welcome to PawGuider. I've put together these Terms and Conditions to explain, in plain language, what you can expect when you use this website, and what's expected from visitors in return. By using PawGuider in any way — reading articles, clicking links, or interacting with the site — you're agreeing to these terms.
I've tried to keep this as clear and human as possible, because nobody actually enjoys reading legal pages, including me. If anything here doesn't make sense or you have questions, feel free to reach out through the Contact page and I'll do my best to clarify.
🐾 PawGuider is a personal pet care blog. Everything here is for informational and educational purposes only and is not a substitute for professional veterinary advice. Always consult a qualified veterinarian for anything related to your pet's health.
1. Agreeing to These Terms
By visiting or using any part of PawGuider, you're confirming that you're at least 13 years old and that you accept these Terms and Conditions. They apply no matter how you access the site — whether that's on a phone, tablet, laptop, or anything else.
From time to time, I may update or revise these terms as the site grows or as things change. Whenever that happens, I'll update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. If you keep using PawGuider after changes are made, that's taken as acceptance of the updated terms — so it's worth checking back occasionally if you're curious.
2. What This Website Is
PawGuider is a pet care blog where I share articles, guides, tips, and occasional product recommendations related to caring for pets — primarily dogs and cats, with other topics added over time as the site grows. Everything published here is meant for general educational purposes, based on a mix of personal experience and research, to help pet owners feel a bit more informed and confident.
PawGuider is not a veterinary clinic, animal hospital, or professional pet care service. I don't diagnose health conditions, prescribe treatments, or provide professional behavioral consultations. Anything here that touches on your pet's health should be checked with a licensed veterinarian before you act on it.
3. Content and Ownership
The articles, guides, images, and overall design on PawGuider are my own work (or used with proper permission), and are protected under standard copyright and intellectual property principles.
You're welcome to read, share, and link to anything on this site — in fact, I appreciate it when people do. If you want to reference something I've written, that's totally fine as long as you credit PawGuider and link back to the original article. What I'd ask you not to do is copy entire articles, republish them elsewhere, or use the content commercially without checking with me first.
Automated scraping or bulk-copying content from this site isn't permitted. If you're not sure whether something is okay, just ask — I'm generally easy to reach and happy to talk it through.
4. Using This Website
I just ask that you use PawGuider for its intended purpose — reading, learning, and hopefully finding something useful for you and your pet. Please don't use the site in any way that could damage it, overload it, or interfere with other people's ability to use it normally.
That also means no attempts to hack, scrape aggressively, inject malicious code, or otherwise mess with how the site or its systems function. And please don't use PawGuider to send spam, impersonate someone else, or engage in anything fraudulent or abusive. This is a small, personal project, and I'd like to keep it that way.
5. About the Accuracy of What I Write
I put real effort into making sure what's published here is accurate, useful, and based on solid information — usually a combination of my own experience and research from reliable sources, including veterinary guidance and established pet care resources.
That said, I'm one person, not a research institution, and pet care information does evolve over time as new studies and guidance come out. I can't guarantee that every piece of content is 100% accurate or fully up to date at every moment. If you ever notice something that seems off, outdated, or just doesn't match what a vet has told you, I'd genuinely like to know — you can reach me through the Contact page.
Ultimately, anything you read here is something to consider alongside your own judgment and, where it matters, a conversation with your vet — not something to follow blindly.
6. Affiliate Links and Ads
PawGuider sometimes uses affiliate links — meaning if you click a link to a product and end up buying it, I might earn a small commission. This doesn't cost you anything extra, and it's one of the ways this site stays running and free to read.
You'll also see ads on this site through Google AdSense and possibly other advertising networks over time. That advertising revenue, along with any affiliate income, helps cover the costs of keeping PawGuider going.
None of this affects what I actually write. I only recommend things I'd genuinely use or suggest to a friend, regardless of whether there's a commission involved. Where required, affiliate relationships are disclosed in line with standard guidelines (such as FTC disclosure requirements).
7. Links to Other Websites
Occasionally, articles on PawGuider link out to other websites — product pages, veterinary resources, or other useful references. These links are there for convenience, and including them isn't an endorsement of everything on that external site.
I don't have control over other websites' content, policies, or practices, and I'm not responsible for anything that happens once you leave PawGuider. If you're ever unsure about an external site, it's worth checking its own privacy policy and terms before using it.
8. A Word About Pet Health
I'll say this one more time because it's important: nothing on PawGuider is veterinary or medical advice. It's general information, shared from one pet owner's perspective, meant to help you feel a bit more informed — not to replace a vet.
If your pet is sick, injured, in pain, or acting seriously different from normal, please don't wait around looking for answers online — contact a vet. In an emergency, get professional help as quickly as you can. I can't be held responsible for any harm that comes to a pet as a result of relying on something read here instead of seeking proper veterinary care.
9. Limits on My Responsibility
To the extent allowed by law, I'm not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential issues that come from using this website or relying on its content — that includes things like lost time, lost money, or any other loss you might experience as a result of something you read here.
In short: this site is offered in good faith and with genuine effort to be helpful, but using it — and acting on anything in it — is ultimately up to you and at your own discretion.
10. "As Is" Basis
PawGuider is provided as-is. I do my best to keep it running smoothly, accurate, and up to date, but I can't promise it'll always be error-free, uninterrupted, or perfectly bug-free. If something looks broken or off, I'd appreciate a heads-up through the Contact page.
11. Privacy
How information about your visit to PawGuider is handled is explained in the separate Privacy Policy page. By using this site, you're agreeing to what's outlined there as well — so it's worth a quick read if you're curious about things like cookies and analytics.
12. A Note for Younger Visitors
PawGuider is meant for a general audience and isn't specifically aimed at children under 13. I don't knowingly collect personal information from anyone under that age. If you're a parent and think your child has somehow submitted personal information through this site, please get in touch and I'll sort it out promptly.
13. Governing Law
These terms are intended to be interpreted reasonably and in good faith, in line with generally accepted online practices. If you're accessing PawGuider from outside the country it's based in, it's your responsibility to make sure your use of the site complies with your local laws.
14. If Part of This Doesn't Hold Up
If any single part of these Terms and Conditions turns out to be invalid or unenforceable for some reason, that doesn't affect the rest of the document — everything else still applies as normal.
15. The Full Picture
These Terms and Conditions, together with the Privacy Policy and Disclaimer pages, cover the full agreement between you and PawGuider regarding use of this site, and replace any earlier versions or informal understandings.
16. Questions?
If anything in here is unclear, or you'd just like to ask something about how PawGuider works, reach out through the Contact page — I read everything that comes through and try to respond when I can.
Thanks for taking the time to read this. I know it's not the most exciting page on the site, but I wanted it to actually sound like it was written by a person — because it was.
